Our partners make it possible for everyone to make Great Strides! Whether it’s a donation of food or soda for a fundraiser, funds to support a horse or a grant enabling low-income children to ride, we rely on the support of our partners.

Partner with us!

Without the support of our wonderful partners, Great Strides Long Island would not be able to offer riding lessons to low-income children, scholarships to special needs riders or our veterans’ program. Every dollar donated helps us pay rent, feed horses, fund programs, offer scholarships and employee the support staff needed to run a growing organization.

We depend on small donations, refundable bottle and can collection, annual fundraising events, grants and support from larger foundations and donors to keep our programs running.

We rely on financial support and volunteer man-hours to run an organization that helps nearly 200 students ride horseback and reap the benefits of the horse/human relationship. If you believe in horses helping humans, consider partnering with us with a donation, assistance fundraising or volunteering your time. Together, we can make great strides!

Thank you to our partners!

The Frank J. Antun Foundation gave us a wonderful grant, allowing us to offer riding lessons for underprivileged children who would never be able to afford lessons. Our new students say, “thank you!”

We would also like to thank Stop and Shop and Applebee’s for their annual support of our Evening Under the Stars fundraiser and Project 9 Line for their partnership in fundraising for our veterans’ program.  These partnerships make the hard work of putting on a fundraiser, a little easier and more profitable.

We have much gratitude for the many local sponsors who help with fundraisers and special donation needs: Shoreham Wine and Liquors, The Cooperage Inn, Theatre 3, Danford’s, Sweets and Scoops, Sound Gardens, Ocean’s 5, Spyro’s, Wading River Pizza, Greek Island Diner, Middle Island Pizza, Emerald Landscaping and many other local businesses who give us support each year. We encourage our students and volunteers to support these businesses as they support us!

Along with business owners, we owe a debt of gratitude to parents and family members of our students who give of their time, energy and talents to gather raffle items, soda, food and necessities to offset the costs of fundraising events. We owe our success to volunteers who assist with therapeutic lessons, administrative tasks from gathering forms to graphic design and help with the many activities of fundraising.

A special thanks to Bri and Glen for the beautiful pictures that helped to make this web site beautiful.
